An Antique Victorian Irish Sterling Silver altar chalice and paten, having a plain round tapering cup with gold-gilt interior, a panelled column with a middle baluster, and a spreading pedestal foot, all hand-chased and engraved with floral & geometrical work, together with a plain round gold-gilt paten. Made by Samuel Le Bass of Dublin in 1863/64. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver chalice & paten are height 21.5 cms (8.5 inches), diameter at base 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 395g (12.7 troy ounces).
