An Antique Victorian Sterling Silver communion service composed of a flagon and two goblets. The flagon in an early 17th century style having a straight-sided body, a scroll handle, a hinged & domed lid with urn-shaped finial, a matching scrolled spout and sitting on a collet foot. Together with a pair of plain round baluster goblets with gold-gilt interiors. All made by Robert Garrard of London in 1862/63. The dimensions of this fine hand-made communion set are height of flagon 29 cms (11.5 inches), length across handle & spout 23 cms (9 inches), height of goblets 18 cms (7 inches), and with a total weight of approx. 1,643g (53 troy ounces). |
