A handsome and large Antique Victorian Sterling Silver ecclesiastical wine flagon ewer, having a round straight-sided body with tapering sides and applied reeded bands, a side scroll handle, together with a hinged domed lid and cast fluted finial, a sparrow-beak spout, and sitting on a spreading collet foot. This elegant silver church consecrated wine flagon was made by the Barnard Brothers of London in 1850. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver flagon or ewer are height 34.5 cms (13.5 inches), diameter at base 14.5 cms (5.75 inches), and it weighs approx. 980g (31.6 troy ounces).
