A handsome Antique Victorian Sterling Silver ecclesiastical wine flagon ewer, having a round straight-sided body and applied reeded bands, a side scroll handle, together with a hinged domed lid and cast round finial, a covered sparrow-beak spout, and sitting on a spreading collet foot. This elegant silver church consecrated wine flagon was made by William Gibson and John Langland of London in 1899. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver flagon or ewer are height 24 cms (9.5 inches), diameter at base 11 cms (4.25 inches), and it weighs approx. 677g (21.8 troy ounces).
