A large and handsome Sterling Silver altar chalice, having a round hand-hammered tapering cup, a middle hand-chased octagonal style baluster with upper and lower applied beaded bands, and a spreading pedestal foot, again hand-hammered and with an engraved Christ on the Cross. Made by A. R. Mowbray and Co., Ltd., of London in 1936. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver chalice are height 20 cms (8 inches), diameter at base 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 581g (18.7 troy ounces).
