An Antique Victorian Silver Plated very unusual double shell bread roll or biscuit dish, having two connected side dishes with hand-chased shell style decoration, with a central cast vine-leaf and tendril handle, and sitting on four cast branch-like feet. Made by Mappin and Webb in their Princes Plate in ca. 1880. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver-plated biscuit or bread roll dish are length 30 cms (11.75 inches), width 20 cms (8 inches), and height 17 cms (6.75 inches). |
