A very unusually designed Sterling Silver and hand-cut crystal decanter, having a main oval body at front and back with hobnail and star-burst cut, and with tapering sides having stepped decoration, a plain silver collar, an original hand-cut stopper, and sitting on a flat base with a matching star-cut. Made by Mappin and Webb of Sheffield in 1956. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver and crystal decanter are height 25.5 cms (10 inches), width 12 cms (4.75 inches), and depth at base 7 cms (2.75 inches).
