A very handsome Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver pair of sauce boats or gravy boats in a Georgian George II style, having bellied bodies with hand-chased swirl fluting, with applied gadroon borders, cast scroll handles with anthemion leaf tops, and sitting on shaped oval pedestal feet. Made by D & J Welby of London in 1904. The dimensions of these fine hand-made antique silver gravy or sauce boats are length 16.5 cms (6.5 inches), width 10 cms (4 inches), height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), and they weigh a total of approx. 480g (15.5 troy ounces).
