Antique Georgian sterling silver pair of large sauce or gravy boats, having plain baluster bodies, Chippendale borders, cast scroll handles, and sitting on three cast hoof feet with shell shoulders. Made by Thomas Cooke II and Richard Gurney of London in 1753. The dimensions of these fine hand-made antique silver sauce boats are length 18 cms (7 inches), width 10 cms (4 inches), height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), and they weigh a total of 495g (16 troy ounces). |
