A large and handsome Sterling Silver cream jug, in a George I Sparrow-Beak style with a plain round bellied body, an applied reeded top border, a scroll handle with an anthemion thumb-piece, a sparrow-beak spout, and sitting on a collet foot. This beautiful cream jug was made by Alfred Ernest Neighbour of London in 1937. The dimensions of this fine hand-made and large silver cream jug are height 10.5 cms (4.25 inches), length 10 cms (4 inches), and it weighs approx. 181g (5.8 troy ounces). |
