A lovely Arts and Crafts style Sterling Silver travelling communion set with hand-hammered decoration, consisting of a chalice with pull-off lid and gold-gilt interior, the lid also acting as a paten, a pyx box with hinged lid and gold-gilt interior, all fitted into an original silver cannister style hinged holder with a push-button latch and an applied Christogram on top. Made by Greenwood and Watts of London in 1927. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver travelling communion set are length of cannister 8.5 cms (3.25 inches), height of chalice with lid 6.5 cms (2.5 inches), diameter of pyx box 3.5 cms (1.3 inches), with a total weight of approx. 212g (6.8 troy ounces). Please note that this item has an In Memorium inscription engraved on the inside of the cannister.
