An unusual Antique Victorian Sterling Silver two-piece travelling communion set consisting of a crystal chalice body for consecrated wine (or could be used as a Chrism for holy oil), together with a bayonet fit upper pyx body with a lift-off lid. The lid with an applied cross finial, and the pyx body having a gold-gilt interior with two ring side-handles. Made by Sidney Blunt and Frederick Wray of London in 1897. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver travelling communion set are height 12 cms (4.75 inches), and diameter of main body 5 cms (2 inches).
