Antique Georgian sterling silver George II coffee pot, having a plain round body with straight tapering sides, a hinged cushion style lid with finial, an octagonal panelled spout, an ivory scroll handle, and all sitting on a collet foot. Made by John Swift of London in 1738. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver coffee pot are length 18 cms (7 inches), height 20 cms (8 inches), and it weighs approx. 625g (20 troy ounces). Please note that this item shows fire-stain which is acceptable for a piece from this period. |
