A very elegant Antique Victorian Sterling Silver and hand-cut crystal claret jug, having a plain round mount with applied bead-edged borders, a plain square cross-section side handle, a hinged stepped lid with a cast round finial, together with a hand-cut crystal round body with straight tapering sides and a tucked under belly above a pedestal foot. This handsome silver and crystal claret jug was made by Charles Favell of Sheffield in 1875. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver and crystal claret jug are height 28 cms (11 inches), and length 13.5 cms (5.25 inches). Please note that this item has two oval cartouches with bead borders one of which is engraved with a part crest.
