A very handsome Antique Victorian Sterling Silver and hand-cut crystal claret jug, having an ornate Bacchus style round mount with hand-chased grapevine work, a tendril style sided handle with a security ring, a hinged lid with a cast rampant lion and shield finial, together with a hand-cut crystal round body with straight sides and a tucked under belly above a flat star-cut base. This beautiful antique silver claret jug was made by Charles Boyton of London in 1889. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver and crystal claret jug are height 27 cms (10.5 inches), and length 18.5 cms (7.5 inches).
