A very pretty Antique Victorian Silver Plated and hand-cut crystal claret jug, having a hand-engraved mount with scroll decoration, a Bacchus face on the spout, a hinged domed lid with a bead border and cast finial, a scrolled cast handle, a round hand-cut crystal body with tapering sides and a hobnail fluted panel pattern, all sitting on a flat star-cut base. Made by Mappin and Webb in there Princes Plate in ca. 1890. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver-plated and crystal claret jug are height 28.5 cms (11.25 inches), length 14 cms (5.5 inches), and diameter at base is 11.5 cms (4.5 inches)..
