A very handsome Antique Victorian Silver Plated and hand-cut crystal claret jug, having an ornate parcel gilt Bacchus style round mount with hand-chased grapevine work, a sided handle with a bead-edged security ring, a hinged lid with a cast rampant lion and shield finial, together with a hand-cut crystal round body with straight sides and a tucked under belly above a flat star-cut base. Made by Elkington and Co., of Sheffield, with a date letter for 1883. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver-plated and crystal claret jug are height 27 cms (10.5 inches), and length 16 cms (6.25 inches). Please note that this item is monogrammed on the finial shield.
