A very beautiful Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver and hand-cut crystal claret jug, having a round vase-shaped body with a plain round mount and applied bead-edged borders, a hinged lid with a hand-pierced thumb-piece over a spout with gold-gilt interior, a beaded and scroll side-handle, a hand-cut hobnail and star pattern main body, and all sitting on a round and stepped pedestal foot. Made by Walter and Charles Sissons of Sheffield in 1905. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver and crystal claret jug are height 29 cms (11.5 inches), and length 13.5 cms (5.3 inches).
