A very elegant Antique Victorian Sterling Silver cigarette / cigar table box, having a plain rectangular body with nice rounded corners, a hinged lid having an applied thumb-piece, a gold-gilt interior, and sitting on a flat base. This handsome antique silver cigar table box was made by A. & J. Zimmerman of Birmingham in 1898. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver table cigar or cigarette box are length 21.5 cms (8.5 inches), width 9.5 cms (3.75 inches), height 6 cms (2.3 inches), and it weighs 640g (20.6 troy ounces). Please note that most old or antique cigar boxes are weighted in the base, and this one is not, so the whole weight is silver.
