A very handsome, large, and complete Antique Victorian Sterling Silver and deer antler horn carving set, consisting of two forks with working guards, two knives, and one sharpening steel, with original bone antler handles and silver ferrules with hand-chased fluting and floral decoration, all in their original dark blue silk and velvet-lined presentation box. This fantastic original carving set was made by William Yates of Sheffield in 1899. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver and bone handled carving set are length of longest knife 37 cms (14.5 inches), and length of shortest fork 27 cms (10.5 inches). Please note that the exterior of the box is slightly damaged and the lid is warped, although it does close shut properly.
