An Antique Georgian Sterling Silver handsome pair of Regency style candlesticks, having round baluster bodies, with removable nozzles, and sitting on round bases, all with hand-chased melon-fluted decoration and applied gadroon borders. Made by John Roberts & Co., of Sheffield in 1811. The dimensions of these fine hand-made antique silver table candlesticks are height 19.5 cms (7.75 inches), and the bases are 12 cms (4.75 inches) in diameter. Please note that these candlesticks are crested with the Latin motto Ne Vile Fano for the Earls of Westmorland.
