An Antique Victorian Sterling Silver pair of butter shells, having hand-chased scalloped bodies, plain shaped thumb-pieces, and both sitting on three ball feet. All made by Mappin & Webb of Sheffield in 1901. The dimensions of these fine hand-made antique silver butter dishes are length 12 cms (4.75 inches), width 9.5 cms (3.75 inches), height 2 cms (0.75 inches), and they have a total weight of approx. 146g (4.7 troy ounces). |
