An Antique Victorian Silver Plated biscuit box, having a Neoclassical style rectangular shaped body with straight sides, applied bead-edged borders, with two bands of hand-engraving above and below a vacant cartouche, a hinged lid with ivory finial, two cast lion-mask ring handles, and all sitting on four cast lions-paw feet. Made in ca. 1880. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver-plated biscuit boxr are height 18 cms (7 inches), length 21 cms (8.25 inches), and width 15 cms (6 inches).
