Antique Georgian sterling silver basket, having an oval body with an applied reeded edge, with a band of hand-engraved floral work and acorns, a hinged and reeded swing handle, all sitting on a collet foot. Made in London in 1800. The dimensions of this hand-made silver basket are height 27 cms (10.5 inches), length 35.5 cms (14 inches), width 23.5 cms (9.5 inches), and it weighs approx. 687g (22 troy ounces). Please note that although the hallmarks are rubbed the date letter E is evident.
