A very pretty Antique Victorian Sterling Silver basket, having an oval body with an applied reeded border, all hand-engraved in a neoclassical style with swags of floral decoration below an upper band of hand-piercing, a hinged and reeded swing handle, and all sitting on an oval pedestal foot. Made in Sheffield in 1879. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver basket are height 21.5 cms (8.5 inches), length 28 cms (11 inches), width 23 cms (9 inches), and it weighs approx. 495g (16 troy ounces).
