Antique Georgian sterling silver Argyll, having a plain round body with straight sides, a pull-off lid with silver finial, a short pouring spout, a wooden scroll handle, a side hole with hinged lid for adding hot water, and sitting on a flat base. Made by Richard Sibley I of London in 1812. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver Argyll are height 13.5 cms (5.25 inches), diameter 8.5 cms (3.3 inches), and it weighs approx. 500g (16 troy ounces).
