A very unusual Antique Victorian Silver-Plated inkstand and model of an Ostrich, having realistically hand-chased feathers, a hinged lid with an internal blue-glass liner inkwell, and standing on a cast round rock base with six ostrich eggs. Made in ca. 1880. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver plated ostrich model and inkstand are height 15 cms (6 inches), and diameter of base 13 cms (5 inches).
