A heavy Sterling Silver three-piece tea set, in a neoclassical style, having plain octagonal bodies with straight sides, applied bead-edged borders above and below bands of bright-cut engraving, with flat-topped scroll side-handles, the teapot with a black wooden scroll handle and a domed lid with bone pineapple finial, and all sitting on flat bases. This beautiful silver three-piece tea set was made by Mappin and Webb of Sheffield in 1926. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver tea set are length of teapot 26 cms (10.75 inches), height 13.5 cms (5.3 inches), and the total weight is approx. 1,100g (35.5 troy ounces).
