Sterling silver chafing dish, having a plain round body, a domed lid with wooden finial, a pair of loop side handles, and the body having an interior heating compartment that can be filled with hot water after unscrewing the wooden handle. Made by Charles Boyton and sons of London in 1922. The dimensions of this fine hand-made dish are length including handle 38 cms (15 inches), diameter 23 cms (9 inches), height 13 cms (5 inches), and the weight without handle is approx. 1,240g (40 troy ounces). Please note that the lid is crested. |
